白襪隊右外野手Avisail Garcia神乎其技地接殺金鶯強棒Chris Davis 的全壘打球，金鶯氣勢大挫，終場白襪3比2擊敗金鶯，4連勝。

金鶯隊9局上最後反攻，Chris Davis 轟出右外野方向深遠飛球，眼看就要飛出全壘打牆，此時白襪右外野手Garcia拚命往後追球，最後在全壘打牆邊高高躍起，將球硬是接在手套裡，出局，白襪士氣大振，金鶯隊只能搖頭嘆息。

白襪隊是美國聯盟戰績最差的球隊，不過他們近況不錯，1局下Avisail Garcia適時敲出安打，打回1分，5局下José Abreu一上場就敲三壘打，Melky Cabrera的高飛犧牲打，讓白襪取得2比0的領先。

金鶯8局上Manny Machado轟出2分彈（本季第17轟），一棒追平比數，不過白襪8局下立即反攻，Gordon Beckham獲保送，Alexei Ramírez犧牲觸擊，送跑者上二壘，J.B. Shuck代打建功，敲出二壘打，送回致勝的第3分。
